School Holidays

Is it just me or have the amount of no-school days gone up? It seems every month my kids have at least 2-3 No-school days,I wonder if this wont have an effect on the education in the long run.I know our education system here feels kids should be more advanced in each grade then before,Making school work harder on kids but then they throw more days off in and except this not to make it harder on the kids to be at an average level.

What's up with that?

Don't get me wrong I wanted my kids to be as smart as they can,I just feel these days off are getting out of hand.
